It’s that time of the month again. We’re gearing up for First Friday at Fragment. This month we are featuring the work of artist Matt Yow.
Matt displayed some work with us several months ago and everyone loved it so much, we invited him back for some more. This month Matt has chosen to display a selection of custom typefaces that he has designed. We’re obviously pretty thrilled with the exhibit and hope you can make it out to join us tomorrow night.
Artist Bio:
“My name is Matt Yow. I am a student at The Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Georgia, pursuing my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design. I was born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina; I love coffee, heavy metal and my wife Lisa. This exhibition is entitled Letters of Note and contains only one color. It explores the use of positive and negative space in the context of typography, type design and communication. My hopes are that the absence of the chromatic spectrum and the presence of the strong contour lines will visually stimulate and entertain.”
